THE DEALFA WORLD
From a small laboratory in Puglia, creations are born that speak to the world: artisanal beauty knows no boundaries.
1982: the beginning of a journey between tradition and passion
Dealfa was born in 1982 from the idea of two visionary artisans , driven by a passion for leather processing. The beginnings are intertwined with artisan fairs throughout Italy, where manual art conquers the public with unique and unrepeatable creations. Over the years, the company finds its beating heart in the splendid Puglia, settling among the suggestive trulli of Alberobello . Subsequently, it opens a second branch in Martina Franca , in the heart of the Itria Valley, to expand its artisan dream.
Who we are: a family heart that beats for craftsmanship
Dealfa is a family business built on timeless values: tradition, craftsmanship and love for details. Every accessory, be it a bag, a belt or a personalized object, is created to tell your style with elegance and uniqueness .
Today, with its two locations in Alberobello and Martina Franca, Dealfa continues to promote Italian craftsmanship , immersed in the evocative beauty and authenticity of Puglia .
In addition to the founders, the family is enriched by their son Sasha, born and raised in the family laboratory. Born in 1996, Sasha runs the company together with his parents, bringing new ideas and production techniques, without ever losing sight of tradition. Thanks to his enthusiasm, Dealfa opens up to the world of the web, with an innovative drive that renews the passion for craftsmanship.
The Dealfa Vision
Our vision is simple and clear: to convey the value of handmade . We do not just want to satisfy our customers, but to accompany them on a journey to discover the manufacturing quality that has been the pillar of our production for decades. Each Dealfa product is unique in the world, perfect in its imperfection , because it is born from manual processing, with gestures handed down for generations.
Who we are:
tradition, family and innovation

John Dragon
Born in Alberobello, he began his career as a self-taught craftsman, working with metals and costume jewellery (silver, brass, copper).
To perfect his manufacturing techniques he moved to Rome where he attended a goldsmithing course at the private school Istituto “Insieme per fare”.
Back in Puglia he taught “Fashion Accessories” for 2 years at the ENAIP Institute in Martina Franca for a stylists course and in Alberobello he reopened the laboratory in the characteristic Monti area.
Together with his current wife (an expert in leather processing) they create a work synergy that is still one of the most original in the area. He is also involved as group leader of the Consorzio Artigiani Alberobellesi (CO.ART.A.) in the promotion and diffusion of local craftsmanship.

Renata Marotti
Graduated from the State Art Institute of Torre del Greco (Na) in “Coral Art”. She began her career as an artisan in 1978, first as a straw weaver, then as an engraver on ivory, shells and coral.
Later he also devoted himself to mural painting and painting on fabric with a frame.
He later specialized in leather processing with which he created masks, bags and furnishing objects.

Sasha Dragon
Born and raised in his parents' workshop, Sasha learned to work as a craftsman before he even conceived of craftsmanship as a job. A passion cultivated since childhood that led him to manage, together with his mentors, the family business.
Born in 1996, he completed artistic studies that refined his techniques and convinced him that working with leather was the right path to take.
With him comes the impetus towards new production techniques and towards the web, bringing a breath of fresh air into the Dealfa tradition.

HOW A DEALFA ARTICLE IS CREATED

HOW A DEALFA ARTICLE IS CREATED
It all starts with the design of an article. The model is drawn, which will be the reference for our final creation. This cardboard model must be designed millimeter by millimeter, so that the product is functional and symmetrical. From here we will obtain the key points for cutting, sewing and metal hardware. This is how a Dealfa product is born.
Following the pattern, the craftsman cuts the pieces of leather needed to create a product. With the cut, the Dealfa item begins to emerge from the skin, and is ready for the transformation from a simple piece to a sophisticated accessory.
Dealfa products are unique and tailor-made for you. With the decoration process, the Dealfa article begins to acquire its own identity. The engravings are made with great care and with an eye to refinement. With stamps and a hammer, the piece of leather takes a further step towards being elevated to a finished article.
Another fundamental step for the customization of the product is the coloring process. Carried out through specific dyes for leather, it is a delicate step, which if done in an optimal way can give the product bright and elegant colors.
One of the last steps is to assemble the various sections previously cut, decorated and colored. Here we will use the stitching. In order for the product to last over time, the stitching must be firm and reliable. The stitching is also subject to different customizations.
A Dealfa item aims not only at quality and aesthetics, but also at functionality and reliability. A backpack is not complete without closures, a purse will not be ready without a zipper, a belt will not work without a buckle.
Finishing is the essential step that the Dealfa product will go through before reaching the hands of customers.
Handcrafted: a unique process
DID YOU KNOW THAT...
Is every mark on our stenciled belts the result of a hammer blow?
The shapes you see – waves, flowers, geometric patterns – are the result of thousands of manual strokes.
Is every die we use custom made?
We do not use pre-packaged models, but original designs.
Is the leather selection rigorous?
Each piece is inspected and only the best are chosen for our products.
Do we use traditional and innovative techniques?
Hammers, needles and scissors coexist with laser engraving for limitless customization.
Is each product unique?
We have never created two identical items: each belt, bag or accessory has its own story.
